COVID 19 GUIDELINES

Our goal is to give our students the opportunity to train as realisitc as possible, and as safe as possbile. We are adapting to our changing situation and ask that you stay as flexible as possible.

We are currently offering the ability to train outdoors & indoors on the mats. Plus Zoom classes.

It is imperative that everyone pre-registers for class as we will have limitations on how many people can be inside. Plus, it really helps us figure out how many instructors we will need to be ready. This will be required, for both indoor & outdoor classes.

Outdoor Class: Should weather (rain or heat) be an issue, outdoor class will be cancelled.

Indoor Class: Only 16 students will be able to train on the mats at one time. We have set up a 9x9 square for students to have their own training area. Students who own their own Krav Maga pad can partner up with others who have a pad, but we will still try to keep the drills where you are in your own square.

Class time will be 50-55 minutes long. Beginner class will start on the hour, but Advanced class will start 5 minutes after. We need this time to sanitize the mats and walls. We ask that once class is finished you leave the building quickly so we can spray. Zoom classes will also follow this schedule

The Beginner’s Indoor class will be for white belts first. Should there be room for Advanced Level students to train inside, we will welcome them in after we see how many Beginner students will be there. Advanced Level student may train outside for the Beginner’s class.

The Tuesday & Thursday noon class is open, but only indoors. Because of how the online system is set up, we cannot limit the class size to 16 for this. Please pre-register and if we see it goes above 16, we will contact you to tell you not to attend. First sign up, first serve.

SUNDAY CLASS…we will now have a noon time 45 minutes Beginner’s only Indoor class on Sunday. Advanced Level will still be offered at 1pm, both indoors and outdoors.
No changing rooms will be available. Bathrooms are closed (unless you have an emergency). In that case, we will take you in to our studio area and we will open all of the doors for you to limit how many people are touching surfaces.
The new regulations do allow for programs that require contact to have contact, although they suggest we eliminate partner drills. We are planning to compromise this as much as possible:
A. We will not do partner exercises for the workout portion of the class
B. When we offer partner drills, you don’t have to partner up
C. Should you want to have contact and a partner, you must purchase your own Krav Maga Pad to hold for your partner (the handles are the tough part to clean so we feel you should only hold your own pad. The hitting surface can be wiped down really easily).
a. New pads will be a special price of $35 for you to purchase so you can partner up
b. You name needs to be clearly marked on the pad so no one accidentally uses your pad
c. By having a pad, you are indicating to others that you are OK partnering up for drills. Only partner up with people with pads.
d. At the end of class, we will offer to sanitize your pad with our “mister”
D. Hand sanitizer: we will have bottles around for you to use between partner drills, although we encourage you to bring your own to have handy. Please use hand sanitizer after a full drill of making contact with someone.
E. Masks: Students should not wear masks while you are training. This is unsafe for you because you will be breathing heavy. This is why we are training outside or in the warehouse. You will have plenty of space between yourself and another person while working out. If you want to wear masks when partnering up and not breathing hard, feel free to do so.
a. When training with a partner with techniques please do your best to have your faces turned away from each other as to not breath directly into faces.
b. Instructors will put masks on should we need to come close to you for instruction. But when at a distance, on the microphone, instructors will not wear one.
F. Instructor Contact: We will limit contact with students. Should you permit an instructor to make contact with you, the instructor will have a mask and they will use hand sanitizer right after making contact with you.
G. Just like with real situations, you can say NO! If you don’t want to partner up or have contact with anyone (instructors included) then please just say “no.” This is good practice for you for self defense training!
H. HOUSEHOLD PARTNERS: We will still allow you to have a partner from your household to come be your partner, at no charge. They can workout, but we really won’t be teaching them as they aren’t students. If they would like to become a student, we can work something out.

A. Please do not come to class if you have a fever or have symptoms. Just stay home and zoom the class
B. Should you get sick, please let us know immediately so we can contact others from the class you attended (this is why registration for classes is mandatory)
